Beyond Climate-Neutral Planning is one of the four pillars of the Go Beyond Project and is about creating space for youth to lead their institutions in collaboratively planning a low-carbon future.

Mission Statement

The mission of Beyond Climate-Neutral Planning is to work with institutions in achieving the provincial carbon neutral mandate, and to inspire them to move beyond this goal toward actively creating regional solutions with and for the community.

Project Goals

  1. To work with institutions in signing and implementing the University and College Presidents’ Climate Change Statement of Action
  2. To include ‘scope 3’ or indirect emission sources such as food or commuter transportation in climate change reporting and action
  3. To create a baseline of what it means to go Beyond Climate-Neutral with tangible examples of solutions that B.C. schools have been implementing
  4. To facilitate communications within and between organizations and institutions working on climate change planning and implementation
